Boat Fishing and Marine Wildlife day in Pucusana, Lima.
About Pucusana Fishing Bay
The Artisanal Fishing Harbor of Pucusana is located 1 hour south of Lima. It is here where a large number of artisanal fishermen earn their living using traditional fishing techniques in the Pacific coastal waters. Here we will be able to watch a lot of sea life activity, birds, Humboldt penguins and sea lions hunting their meal everywhere.
The Experience
We will depart from your chosen accommodation in Lima early in the morning and travel 1 hour to Pucusana Bay. For this experience we will use a typical artisanal boat, the same as many artisanal fishermen in this bay use. We will be fishing with bait and jigs trying to find as many species as possible so you can catch and release fishes you have never captured before. Here you will also learn how to make a delicious traditional ceviche from your freshly caught fish.
The Equipment
This trip is for jigging or casting fishing technique. Feel free to bring your own rod, reel and equipment of your choice, if not we can rent you.
